EMD Strategies' Identity & Website Redesign
EMD Strategies helps companies win new federal business with data, relationships, and best practices. EMD Strategies came to Sagetopia looking for a brand refresh, including both their logo and website. I was the lead designer on this project.
Visit WebsiteBranding
The first part of the project was to create a logo and brand for CEP, a program area of Virginia Hunger Solutions. In the initial stage, we discovered that Virginia Hunger Solutions had a logo but no brand. We decided to instead create a brand for Virginia Hunger Solutions which would be applied to CEP. We also recommended that the Virginia Hunger Solutions logo be updated for online usage which resulted in a simplified version of the logo.
Wireframes
The initial wireframes were designed by Karli Mowrey. She created three home page layouts and The Ambit Group decided to move forward with Option 3. With the design direction chosen, I was tasked with creating mockups.
Mockups
I created two mockups to present to The Ambit Group, the home page and the leadership page. The design followed The Ambit Group's existing branding which included their logo, typefaces, colors, pattern, and icon style.
New Design
The goal of the new design was to be clean but eye-catching and to allow the target audience to quickly find and verify Ambit's competencies and capabilities. The end result was a custom WordPress theme with a custom search designed to allow users to filter results and find the information they need. The new home page design focused on connecting Ambit's insights and expertise to their competencies.
