The Ambit Group's Website Redesign
The Ambit Group specializes in managing and connecting operations and technology to performance in the Homeland Defense & Public Safety, Regulatory, and Citizen-Centric mission areas. When The Ambit Group approached Sagetopia, they were looking for a major website redesign. I was the lead designer on this project.
Visit WebsiteWireframes
The initial wireframes were designed by Karli Mowrey. She created three home page layouts and The Ambit Group decided to move forward with Option 3. With the design direction chosen, I was tasked with creating mockups.
Mockups
I created two mockups to present to The Ambit Group, the home page and the leadership page. The design followed The Ambit Group's existing branding which included their logo, typefaces, colors, pattern, and icon style.
New Direction
After meeting with The Ambit Group, they decided to rethink their approach to the new website and the state of their current brand application. They wanted their new website to set them apart from their competitors in both content and design. At this point, I took over as lead designer and was tasked with creating new mood boards, sketches, wireframes, and mockups that followed the new, bold direction.
New Design
The goal of the new design was to be clean but eye-catching and to allow the target audience to quickly find and verify Ambit's competencies and capabilities. The end result was a custom WordPress theme with a custom search designed to allow users to filter results and find the information they need. The new home page design focused on connecting Ambit's insights and expertise to their competencies.
